"It takes courage to recognize the REAL as opposed to the CONVENIENT."
This is a concept difficult for many to grasp. Way to often we get caught up in a mess because we lack the courage to decipher between the two or maybe we just choose the "Ignorance is Bliss" route. We're too busy thinking about all the wrong things with all the wrong people. We assume that everyone is made just for us. Everyone who looks good. I know yall heard it before....
"Everything that glitters aint GOLD."
can i get a hand clap up in here?
(you're supposed to clap.)
Its human nature to want everything that appeals to us. Its our nature to pursue happiness or at least satisfaction. This takes no effort. Recognizing what is good for one's self and what is harmful takes effort.
When I see someone I like, immediately I begin to analyze everything about them. From the way he dresses to the things that rank priority in his life, to the way he smells all the way to how he eats. I make a conscious effort to absorb every piece of information I am given... intentional and un-. I pay attention to the way he reveres his mother and how he acts in a restaurant. However, I was not always so fortunate to know what to look for. I had a nice run as the oblivious naive girl. As more life was given to me, the more accountable I had to become.I hold myself accountable for any heartbreaks or uncomfortable situations i may find myself stuck in.
When a relationship goes downhill, we're never ready for it. It usually comes as a largely unfortunate and unforeseen circumstance. Or thats what we want everyone including ourselves to think. Common sense tells us that there are only two ways a relationship can go:Bad and it ends or Good and it doesn't.
"Everything aint for Everyone."
This goes for people as well. Ladies, every piece of Eye Candy you take in will not be your husband, nor will he be the father of your beautiful future children. He very well may not even be a piece of your life in three and a quarter years from now. And guys, every chick you f:)ck should not be worthy enough to carry and nurture your seed. Every girl you meet should not have access to all of your possessions and definitely not your heart. So why do you put so much into it? Everyone wasn't made for you. There is only one.The Real. When you find the Real, you'll know. How? Give me a minute and I'll break it on down.
When it comes to Love, that little voice inside of you has to be the loudest voice you hear... or else, you are doomed to become a victim of circumstance.
I KNOW I have some Lovers reading this... I mean some REAL HARD Lovers in this mother(bleep). I used to be one of those. I know what its like to just want to make someone happy who doesnt even ask you how your day went. I know how it feels to be in love alone. its an empty place that only exists in your mind because in reality, we know that Love is a joint effort and without that effort, it doesnt work. So I guess I will refer to this situation in life as Imaginary Love from here on out. So, I know what Imaginary Love is like. Hopeless hoping. All that crap. This Love thing is a very difficult thing to handle. It must be regarded with the utmost care and attention. If not, it can and will consume you.
OK. Now, this is how you'll know you've found The One....Are you ready? Some of yall aint lol. Pay attention, this could very well SAVE YOUR LIFE.
You know that you've found the One when you give them all of you and never feel an ounce emptier because they've given you all of them.
read it again. soak it up. feel the burn!!
feel free to quote me haha.
A relationship is a balance. You give and you gain. You take and you lose. If you are constantly giving, you begin to deteriorate. You deplete yourself from your emotional and spiritual reserves. Pieces of your heart scatter and you lose sense of self. When you constantly take and dont reciprocate, you become overwhelmed. it only makes sense.
Now, all this can be quite exhausting on the tender tattered heart. Poor thing can't take too much more of this drama and trauma for every piece of ass, lol. This is we we have to wisen up. You are accountable for a majority of the damage done to your heart. By simply understanding the difference between who is worthy of your love and who isnt saves your heart from a lot of stress.
To further dip my toes in this pool of enlightenment, allow me to give you just a couple ways to deal with the information handed to you.
Now, the Optimal Choice would to be to focus on learning you. I say this because when that little voice inside speaks, you need to be familiar with it. When it screams to you that the face your eyes are beholding is the same one in your dreams, you best be able to hear it loud and clear. You can cut the Convenient out of the picture and save all of you for all of the Real. This is the best way but also the most difficult. Sometimes our heart plays with us and has us truly convinced that THIS IS IT. I don't know how to explain this. Maybe its allowing us to open up and feel an emptiness we would never feel with the One...some sort of assurance. or maybe your heart is just practicing. who knows?
-anywho-
The second way would be to separate the real from the convenient and deal with each accordingly. Separate the trash from the treasure... the pain from the pleasure. Understand that everyone wasnt made just for you... you're special but definitely not that special LMPPPO!!! Understand the relationship you two have. first, accept what you two are. And then, accept what you two are not. After that, handle it whichever way you see fit... just know that you are accountable for your heart's aches.
damn, i just said a mouthful!!!!! hope you were able to swallow something... please don't choke.
peace and lovin!

you can thank me later for saving your life ;)
