I once heard an old Chinese proverb that claims "If you want to know your past - look into your present conditions. If you want to know your future - look into your present actions". I'm going to be a score & 1 year old this year & I've found this proverb to be very full of truth. I realize that many people are flowin through life. kick push & coastin' through reality. Choosing college majors they have no desire for, creating relationships that are detrimental, & making decisions that are sparked from the catalyst called 'impulse'.
As u know, (unless you've been living under a giant rock) Barack Obama is the newly selected Democratic candidate for the upcomingPresdiential elections. This is a monumental time for us all. I for one have been somewhat weary & reluctant to jump on the 'Barack Bandwagon', but as I've matured I also understand that life isn't always this colorful Utopian society but rather a cocnrete nation of black, white & the occasional banal hues of grey. Barack, a black man, a young black man, has stated on a myriad of occasions that "YES WE CAN"...& there is "HOPE" for a brighter future. Well just like that old Chinese Proverb stated, if you want to know your future, look into your present actions. I commend anyone who realizes the dangers awaitng them yet walks thru the fire blind. Whi knows what may come in the next few months. Maybe Barack will succeed, maybe he will be martry'd...only time can tell. These are dark days in a global spectrum & I know that "WE CAN" if we all carry this same outlook. A timid man/woman will ALWAYS surrender & a resoulte man/woman will ALWAYS prevail. This is "OUR" time for a change we truly can believe in.
