I DON'T UNDERSTAND THE HYPE!

Why? And I ask this question with my hands by my side, really hoping someone out there can give me a suitable answer that makes sense from all and every perpective.

WHY IS EVERYONE SO FRIGGIN' HYPE ABOUT LIL' WAYNE?!

Okay, wait! Before you get your panties in a bunch or give yourself a hemroid, listen to my argument:

1. He holds no lyrical content aka he doesn't talk about SHIT! His lil metaphors - if you want to call them that or referring himself to the following:

-He's a Dinosaur

-He's a Martian
-He's a Doctor

-He's a Sauna

-He's a Beast

-He's a Dog

-He's a Bastard

-He's a Movie Director
-He's Camoflaugue

-He's Bright

-He's a Venereal Disease

-He's Tougher than Nigerian Hair

-He's a Menstrual Bleed

-He's a Socket

-He's a Tarantula

-He wants to get paid by the Hour ( like for sex, like a prostitue) So he's a prostitute

-He's The Shit ( like literally not figuratively)

2. His constant, most annoying MUMBLING! I guess when you're high on cough syrup and coke words just don't get to your brain fast enough.

3. I honestly in my heart of hearts believe this man worships Satan himself. There's no other explanation for the amount of hype this man gets for dropping a song called "Lollipop" and being featured on 74 songs in 2007. He had to sell SOMETHING - digg me?

4. This leads me to my next point - NO CLASSICS! Name one, okay name a HALF of a album/song that Lil Wayne has been on that can even come close to being in the same categorie as "Reasonable Doubt" or "Illmatic" or "I'm Serious"... Be real.

5. The Block is Hot doesn't count.

6. Carter III got all this hype when N*E*R*D album dropped the same day - but because Lil Wayne's smoke cloud was covering everyone's eyes, nobody realized the Seeing Sounds is one of the best albums N*E*R*D has done thus far. Love Bomb is something serious, say it ain't.

7. He's ugly. Nuff said - ol' grimlin lookin monster with doo-doo locs - UGH! I hate dirty lookin' negros.

Uh, thats basically it. So please - please someone give me a good reason why I should listen to this clown. Psssh.

Carter II is a classic

and also I agree with what you said bout N.E.R.D., and don't include to everybody bout the Carter III shadowing them. We all aren't stupid enough not to notice more than one artist at a time.

Addressing Voudou Child:

As I surf the net early this morning, it has come to my attention that Lil' Wayne has gone platinum. PLATINUM! Even after being leaked, bootlegged, and ripped this man manage to go platinum. Is this a result of good music or just pure hype?

At this point, I am over it hiphop has changed for the worst and will never return. Granted - there are eh, two songs on the album that go hard. Millie (before everyone and their mother jumped on the track) and Mr. Carter (after Jay-Z hopped on the beat) Other than that, the album does nothing for me. I actually sat down and lent my ears to it too. He rants, he talks too damn much thinking he sounds intellegent when he sounds like a crackhead on ice. Be real.

So with that being said, Lil' Wayne gets and deserves to respect from me! He doesn't cater to my likings, we don't relate, and he lacks creative lyricism. This is all my opinion, if you or anyone you know supports Lil' Wayne - more power to you. You like what you like. And I hold nothing agaisnt you for that. Hell, I like Basement Jaxx! Haha.

I personally won't even waste GB's on my Mac to download the dude.

R.I.P Hip Hop that came from the HEART.

Man N.E.R.D. should not be rapping. Beats is their thing. I would never buy a N.E.R.D. cd. The Carter 2 is a classic. No skipping tracks on that cd. Hell, even the Carter 1 is nice. Shit, the bootleg Carter 2.5 is vicious too. Now The Carter 3 can stay on the shelf. All that T-Pain bullshit is too much for me. New hot shit is that Young Buck going on 50's punk ass. Now Buck is a nigga that's supposed to go platinum.
