Sex and the City goes right in between Devil Wears Prada and Top Shottas on my DVD shelf.
Reason? Well, that's easy...
1. The fashion - wait, I take that back, I wouldn't even call this movie "fashionable." These women lived a LIFESTYLE. I mean seriously, it was just non-stop. At one point in time, I said to Diamond "Damn, do these bitches where normal clothes?" Carrie wore pearls to bed one night. PEARLS?.. You have to dive in the ocean for those. Chill.
2. Love Story. And not just your normal love story that starts off happy and end up happy, there were twist, turns, curves and bumps - like a real love story.
3. Lesson. Lessons after lessons after lesson. I'm not going to front, ya'll. I actually learned something from this movie. Likkke, where Louis (Jennifer Hudston) rented her Louis Vuitton purse. Ha! And check this out, that's a REAL website. Wanna rent a fly ass Prada Bag tonight? Click.
4. Jealous. Oh, how I envied the White Woman in this movie. Damn! They got it good like shit. I mean, seriously. What the hell, ya'll, can I just get my tuition paid? Thats all. I'll skip the Prada and Louis for now. If you wanna see cash flow, guap, duckets, Benjamins? WATCH SEX AND CITY. You will suffer from at least ONE of the seven deadly sins.
5. The Characters. I never really watched the series before the movie, so seeing the characters for the first time was interesting. I completly fell in love with the different personalities each girl had in the group. It reminded me soo much of my lil girl clique.
Speaking of which.

That's us. Year old pic - evidence? I had hair, lots of it. Blonde too.
Smh. Young days.
We wear LOVE - the label that never goes out of style.

UGH, "Sex And The City" in a sense moved me.The Acting was by-far the most important aspect of the film. I have never been a big fan of "Sex and The City" the series however watching it occasionally gave me enough insight to analyze the two. Sara J. dove into Carrie's character head first. "Charllot" was absolutely amazing because not only was her character extremely out going when angered, but her corky, kinda goofy spunk was always present.
The other two characters were typical as from the series and that is what grounded the movie.
It goes without saying that the clothes were influentual and fashion forward. I for 1 have been on the website "Bags, Borrow or Steel" a little more than my Bank account calls for, hehe. In essence
the theme of the movie wasnt as shallow as i thought it would be. The message was;Lables and Love is the heart of New York! However "Love" is one Label that will never goes out of style.
That was Genious!
We must Live It, Love It, Honor It. "Im all Dressend In Love" -Jennifer Hudson (song on the soundtrack was the BOMB). Go cop the soundtrack, its a must have!
omg did u see the Blahniks he brought her, with the Diamond's in them. Now that was GENIOUS!
